WELCOME TO JAFMP

You’ve found the home of author and podcaster J. Stephen Thompson on the web.  Lucky you! Here’s what you will find here:

WANTED: ALIVE OR PREFERABLY DEAD – Every month, I get together with Vaughn from Motion Picture Massacre and discuss a Western movie. Nothing fancy, just two friends who love movies talking about them.

JAFMP: UNIVERSAL MONSTERS – This project started quite a while ago, but returns in 2023. Mike from The Corpse Cast will join me to talk about every classic Universal Horror movie.

WEIRD WESTERNS – You can buy my book (soon to be plural).  I write in the Weird Western genre, which is a combination of Fantasy and Horror, set in the Wild West.

THE BLOG – You can expect anything from excerpts of my writing, movie and book reviews, and probably a bit of me bitching about the state of the world. Hopefully, I will say something that borders on entertaining.

WANTED: Alive or Preferably Dead – Episode 6

In this episode, Vaughn takes us on a ride with renegade Confederates who want to restart the Civil War.  Another Corbucci classic.  Also, Stephen makes a historic blunder by failing to bother with reading the IMDB page.  BUSTED!
